The fact that it’s 2021 and we’re still dealing with body-shamers is annoying AF. You’d think people would learn that commenting on people’s bodies isn’t okay, but nope. So here it is again: STOP COMMENTING ON PEOPLE’S BODIES. Do you get it now? Hope so. Recently, Heidi Montag took the time to address haters speculating that she was pregnant again. Spoiler alert: She’s not.
“I love my body! Many people have been speculating and commenting about my weight. I am not pregnant (not yet),” she captioned an Instagram post. “I think that is partially where some of these comments have been coming from because people know that we are in the process of trying. I also weigh more than I ever have but I am also stronger than I have ever been. I refuse to be #bodyshamed! I love #food and #wine! I am going to enjoy my life! #love #loveyourself #bodypositivity #selflove #enjoylife #enjoy”
Fans flooded Heidi’s comments with supportive messages. “When she typed ‘I love food and wine,’ I really felt that 😍,” one person wrote. Which, like, saaame. Another user commented, “This is such an important message, especially for us mums whose bodies have been through so much! Thank you, Heidi. 🙏🏻 xxxx P.S. You look 🔥!”
Last week, Heidi first addressed the pregnancy rumors. She tweeted, “No, I am not pregnant yet. Just a little overweight.”
Two days later, she shared that people were sending her negative comments regarding her weight. “Wow disgusting people saying I need to loose [sic] weight…bye,” she added.
I feel the need to add that it’s hella problematic to speculate if a woman is pregnant based on her body size. Let’s remember that, k?
